Fitness is a component of physical education class. This week, we will be doing various physical activities and then reflecting on how these activities might help to improve our own personal fitness. Have fun!

Learning Goals for Unit:

Students live an active lifestyle and know how to stay fit and healthy.

Students can express the enjoyment and/or challenge of participating in various physical activities.

Health Focus: Wash your Hands

It is important to stay healthy. Each week we will focus on a health topic to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

This weeks focus:  Washing Hands

When should you wash your hands?

  • Wash your hands before, during,  and after cooking food
  • Wash your hands before eating
  • After you have been outside or in a public space
  • Before and after caring for someone who is sick
  • After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • Before and after treating a cut or wound
  • After using the bathroom
  • After touching an animal or pet, animal feed, or animal waste
  • After touching garbage
